Wanda and I are in Spain this week doing a vacation tour with a few of her siblings. We’re going to be visiting historical and beautiful cities, including Madrid, Toledo (not Ohio!), Seville, Valencia, and Barcelona. Having never been to any of these cities before, we’re pretty excited. One of the things I love about this trip is that we’re traveling with a tour company rather than driving to them on our own. It’s fantastic to have someone who lives here, who knows so much about this country, and most importantly, KNOWS HOW TO GET THERE!
Aren’t you glad God has done the same for us?! Jesus has just told his disciples that His Father has an amazing place for them with lots of room. It’s something beyond their wildest dreams and imaginations. But how do they get there? They can’t do it on their own. That’s why Jesus makes one of His most famous statements. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
Jesus takes all the guesswork out of it. Our sin keeps us out of the presence of God. The grace of Jesus becomes the door or the way for us to get in. Not because of what we do but because of what He has done! Jesus also becomes the Truth that we use to measure our lives and what is right or wrong in this world. He assures us that He is the one who will give us the strength to do God’s Will and live as we should. He is our Life. No wandering around. No having to worry whether or not we’re “in” or “out.” God sent Jesus Christ to us, not to exclude people, but to make it CLEAR how all of us are to enter in.

His grace will save you. His Word will guide you. His Spirit will strengthen you. All roads don’t lead to Heaven. Jesus does. Trust your divine tour guide. That’s God’s Word for you today.
