“Walking Through the Psalms”
“and they prosper in all they do.” – Psalm 1:3 (NLT)
“The Turbo Boost of God’s Blessing!”

One of the great outcomes of pursuing the presence of God is being endowed with the power of God. What the psalmist points out in our verse today is a principle that you see repeated over and over again throughout God’s Word. God blesses His People who walk with Him.
Abram followed God. And God blessed his life, his work, and his family. Joseph followed God. And God saw him through betrayal, hardship, and abandonment. In the end, God rewarded him a position and power that allowed him to be a blessing to his family and relatives. Moses followed God. God gave him victory over Pharoah, provided a path through the Red Sea, and gave Moses and the people meat and bread as they walked through the wilderness. Joshua followed God. And God gave him victory over the armies of Canaan and gave the people of God a land that flowed with milk and honey. Are you getting the picture?
Let me bring it home to my life. What I’ve discovered in my own journey is that as I seek God, He adds His Hand and blessing to my life and to my work. He gives me thoughts that come from His mind. He gives me words that come from His mouth. He softens hearts as I preach and guides my mind and hand as I write. When I lean on God, depend on God, and truly seek God with all my heart, I’ve discovered that He opens doors I couldn’t open and does things that I simply couldn’t do.
This is an important understanding. Sometimes people read the word “prosper” in this passage and think, “Wow! If I read my Bible, God’s going to make me rich!” Think again. God will certainly bless us as we honor Him with our money and manage it His way, but the Lord is interested in giving us rich LIVES, not rich bank accounts. In fact, when you’re walking closely with God you also make an incredible discovery. No matter how little you possess, you’re ALREADY rich!
Do you want to live a BLESSED life? Do you want a home where God is your foundation? Do you want a life where God is at work in you and through you? Do you want to live with power and impact and live a life that makes a difference? Then seek the Lord with all your heart. You’ll experience the turbo boost of God’s Blessing! That’s God’s Word for you today.
