“Walking Through the Psalms”
“Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all!” – Psalm 25:16-17 (NLT)

“Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all!” – Psalm 25:16-17 (NLT)
“A Prayer for Those in Deep Distress”
“Lord, I lift up each and every person for whom this is their prayer today. I pray for those who feel horribly ALONE. I lift up that single mom or dad who is working so hard and struggling so much, yet they are barely keeping their heads above water. They need to know that you are FOR them today. They need to know that you are WITH them at this moment. They need you to lift that enormous burden from their shoulders today and bless them with REST.”
“I pray for that one who has lost someone dear to them. The void left behind is overwhelming at times. The loneliness is unbearable. Would you draw near to them today, and let them know that you are the God who is CLOSE to the brokenhearted? Put your hand on their shoulder, and ease their suffering. Envelop them with your comfort and peace.”
“I pray for those who have been abandoned, forgotten, or tossed aside. For those who have been horribly mistreated and feel useless and worthless. Lift them up today. Brush away their tears. Mend their wounds. Wrap your arms around them, and hold them in your love. Remind them that they are Never Forgotten, Never Abandoned, and Never Alone. Let them know they are Precious and Priceless to you.”
“I also lift up those who have been battered by wave after wave of trouble. Those who are struggling and are on the edge of the pit of despair. They feel as if they are sinking and have no way to save themselves. Reach out to them, O God. Grab their hand. Be their Healer today. Be their Provider today. Be their Rescuer today. Work a miracle in their lives that can only come from Your Hand.”
“There are some today, Father, who can’t even find the strength to pray for themselves. So I stand in the gap for them. Their faith is low. Their hope is fading. They have all but given up. But you have NOT given up! Save them, Lord! Open their eyes to see you at work. Open their hearts that they might believe again. Breathe into them a fresh, new breath of life. The Enemy laughs at their sorrow, but you are the God who weeps with them. Lift them up, and restore them today. Part the dark skies of hopelessness, and let the light of your glory shine through. These are YOUR children, Lord. Turn to them and have mercy, I pray, in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!” That’s God’s Word for you today.
