Walking Through the Psalms
“He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.” – Psalm 66:6 (NLT)

“God Can Make a Way”
Several years ago, Mid-America Christian University was in deep trouble. When they moved from Houston to Oklahoma City in 1985, the move only “worked” if the campus in Houston was sold. When a buyer came forward, the college made the move and built a new campus. Unfortunately, the buyer backed out, leaving the college strapped for cash and struggling for survival. There it teetered for several years until the increasing amount of debt made the way forward insurmountable. The college was heading for bankruptcy.
When it seemed as though all was lost, God raised up an individual who had the means and the burden to pay off the debt, which put the college on firm footing and laid the groundwork for it to grow and become the vibrant university it is today. When all was lost, God stepped in and saved the day. The Lord did what He is good at doing—He made a way where there seemed to be no way.
Our passage today is a reminder that God has ALWAYS been about “making a way.” He did it for Noah and his family when the earth was flooded. He did it for Abram and his family when He led them away from Abram’s homeland. He did it for Joseph after he was sold into slavery in Egypt. He did it for Jacob and his family when the famine struck their land. He did it for Joshua and the Israelites as they crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land. And He did it for Moses and the people as He parted the Red Sea and saved them from Pharaoh’s army.
And God can do the same for YOU! I don’t know what wall you are up against or what circumstances you may be facing, but I do know that God is GREATER! He can part seas. He can overcome overwhelming odds. He can lead us through even when we can’t see the way. And yes, He can even overcome millions of dollars of debt.
I want to challenge you to give your “Red Sea” to God today. Don’t you dare let yourself believe that just because YOU can’t that God can’t. He has power that you don’t know about. He has resources that you don’t know exist. He has help that you don’t know is there. Declare this out loud today, “God can make a way where there seems to be no way!” May God make a way for YOU! That’s God’s Word for you today.
