Walking Through the Psalms
“So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” – Psalm 31:24 (NLT)
“Resurrection Sunday”
“So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” – Psalm 31:24 (NLT)
“Resurrection Sunday”
Hope. It’s perhaps the greatest human need there is. It’s said you can live a few weeks without food, a few days without water, a few minutes without air, but only a few seconds without hope. Could YOU use some hope today?
Resurrection Sunday is the day when God confirmed that there is ALWAYS hope in Him. He who conquered death is strong enough to conquer any problem you're facing today. He can heal your body, fix your marriage, forgive your failures, and change your life. The Psalmist reminds us in our verse to be “strong and courageous” and to put our hope in Him. No matter what you're facing or what you’ve been through, Jesus Christ is the hope to lead you out of the darkness of your past and into His glorious future that He has prepared for you. Surrender your failures to Him. Surrender your struggles to Him. Surrender your life to Him, and let Him breathe Hope and Life into you today.
I thought you might need to hear a real-life testimony of God’s ability to change lives and give hope. So here is the testimony of a friend of mine named Lisa who posted this on her Facebook page yesterday. Let her words inspire you with faith and courage.
“24 years ago today, my life was meaningless. I was lost in darkness and in the pit of hell with substance/drug abuse. Two friends presented a new life to me—accept Jesus into your life and become reborn! At first, it was a struggle. The enemy’s grip was holding on tight. My friends said they saw the darkness leave me! What a glorious light!
Jesus saved my life! God opened the door to a new life! A life of freedom, a life/eternity with Him. He took my sin and shame away. My sins are forgiven! God changed my life forever and gave me the love, tools/resources to be the best mom, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend that I could be. He puts people in my life to build me up and show me love. Life is a struggle, but I know who my Redeemer is, and my faith in Jesus gets me through. I can’t do this life without Jesus!”
Amen, Lisa. Our Redeemer LIVES!! Happy Resurrection Day. That’s God’s Word for you today.
