“It’s All About Jesus!”
Jesus & the Man Born Blind (John 9)
When Jesus heard what had happened, he found the man and asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” The man answered, “Who is he, sir? I want to believe in him.” “You have seen him,” Jesus said, “and he is speaking to you!” “Yes, Lord, I believe!” the man said. And he worshiped Jesus. – John 9:35-38 (NLT)

“Praying For a Breakthrough”
As I was walking and praying this morning, I found myself using the word “breakthrough” over and over again. I prayed for a breakthrough of salvation for some people who don’t know the Lord. I prayed for a breakthrough of healing for some people who are dealing with serious health issues. I prayed for a breakthrough of wisdom for some people that I know are making serious life-altering decisions.
A breakthrough is defined as “a sudden, dramatic, and important discovery or development.” It’s Paul getting blinded by a piercing light and being confronted with the truth about Jesus. It’s the Prodigal Son “coming to his senses” about the path he was on and making the decision to go home to his father. It was the man born blind in our passage experiencing a miraculous healing that led him to understand who Jesus really was. In all of these cases, their change came in a sudden and dramatic way. Time was critical. The need was great. So God didn’t ease into their lives. He burst into it. That’s a breakthrough.
Could YOU use a breakthrough today? Maybe you’re at a place where you need direction, healing, or change…and you need it NOW! Or maybe you’re walking with someone who is in that desperate place—that place where, if something doesn’t happen soon, it will be disastrous. Today, I want to invite you to ask God for more than just a touch, a move, or a little help. Today, I want to challenge you to ask God to show up in the fullness of His power and grace. Cry out to the Lord from the depth of your heart and seek Him to do something dramatic, sudden, and life-changing. Let’s pray together for a BREAKTHROUGH! That’s God’s Word for you today.
