Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is right around the corner! June 3 – 6, we will be officially Shipwrecked--but don’t worry! We will be learning about how Jesus is our Rescuer! During this week of faith-filled fun, kids ages four years through 6th grade will meet our Bible buddies, hear from other kids about how Jesus has moved in their lives, and jam out to some incredible tunes!

With pre-registration beginning May 6, this is YOUR opportunity to join in on the fun as a crew leader or volunteer! If you would like to join our team leading kids from station to station or have questions about what you can do to help, please fill out the insert found in your bulletin beginning May 6 or contact Pastor Sarah at 691-1216.

Bible Quest

The same week of VBS, we will have Bible Quest for any 5th or 6th graders excited to dive deeper into the Bible and explore the Old Testament like never before! Preteens will experience the background of characters like Abraham, Ruth, and David and see how there is a bigger story to God’s plan for salvation in the smallest details outlined in Scripture. Bible Quest is a wonderful alternative to VBS for preteens wanting to grow even further in faith and biblical knowledge. You can sign up for Bible Quest at the VBS pre-registration table starting May 6.

Baby/Child Dedication

One of the sweetest moments for us at Shartel is when we welcome a new little one into our church family. Children are gifts from God, and as such, we are called to recognize them as belonging first and foremost to Him. As the church, we recognize both the awesome responsibility and the wonderful privilege of parents as they enjoy this gift. Through baby dedication, parents acknowledge their position as role models in addition to it being an expression of gratitude and appreciation for God’s goodness.

When we dedicate a child to our church family, we are making a promise to the child as well as to the parents that we will do our part of pouring truth and love into their lives as they grow and discover what it means and what it looks like to live out a relationship with God. If you would like to participate in our next Child Dedication service on June 17 or would like more information on what it means, please contact Pastor Sarah at the church office: 691-1216.
